Visa: All foreigners should hold a visa except for GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) nationals. Holders of European Union or Canadian passports can obtain a visa when they arrive in Lebanon. However, for a tourist stay that doesn’t last more than 15 days, they are sometimes waved from holding a visa. Note: No foreigner is to be admitted on the Lebanese territory if the passport he is holding bears an Israeli visa, any entrance or exit Israeli stamp, or any travel ticket mentioning this country.
Health: Shots against polio, tetanus, and typhoid are recommended. It is not recommended to drink tap water. Mineral water is sold everywhere at affordable prices (around LBP 1500 for a 1.5 liter bottle of water). |
