According to New York Times, there have been some speculations about the real worth of facebook. In last year's Microsoft investment, it was stated that Facebook's value is $15 billion dollars. However, the lawsuit settlement between Facebook and ConnectU documents prove that it is worth one-quarter the Microsoft valuation, in other words $3.75 billion only.

In Connect U's documents, they accuse Facebook of fraud and publishing false information to the public. However, ConnectU could only be wiring such rumors in order to get off their signed settlement when they agreed on buying shares and not by number of dollars, but such accusation can't be proved for lack of data and stocks evaluation.

Speculations are rising lately about the company, various opinions have been voiced out, although valuing a private company is practically impossible.
