Now what is Yamli exactly? Yamli is a software which converts transliterated text into Arabic characters, it provides web tools that helps you to type using the English letters your Arabic script and it translate them to you. You can google straight from Yamli any document you need or even better copying Arabic text into electronic documents that makes it easy for people around the world. It also accepts the different phonetic spelling of various Arabic dialects.

Imad Jureidini, and Habib Haddad, the founders of Yumli, won The Pan Arab Web Awards for "Best Web Technology Award for 2008. It all started when Habib Haddad didn't have an Arabic keyboard to be updated on the Lebanese July 2006's war, and so he was in need of a software to help him solve the matter.

With his friend Imad Jureidini they started researching and analyzing to create this system. The name Yumli in Arabic means "it suggests" since it suggests to the user what words to use and the different choices he gets.

Indeed it's a revolutionary system especially for those who know Arabic but don't know how to read and write the language.
