Within the frame of Paris III, the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Sinora announced that the Chairman and General Manager of Microsoft Steve Ballmer has joined the team of Chairmen and General Managers already members of the Lebanese American Partnership called US-Lebanon Partnership. Launched last September, this partnership gathers the Chairmen and General Managers of Intel Corporation, Cisco Systems, Ghafari, and Occidental Petroleum Corporation. The stated objective of the US-Lebanon Partnership is to support, through partnerships concluded between the private and public sectors, various fields of the Lebanese development, namely the sectors of new technologies, job creation, or labor force training. Supporting this partnership comes in various manners and includes skills in computer equipment, training and counseling and also financial assistance to NGOs like the Unicef and other associations working for the needy.
