If Ansar and Sadaka had an equal score before the tenth and last day of the championship, with 22 units for each one of the two formations, it is the latter that had a small advantage: the goal difference (+88) was surely for its benefit before the kick off of the game.
However, this advantage disappeared when the players of Tarick Jdideh, in front of 300 supporters, marked a goal at the 21st minute, within the shambles of defense from the adverse team, from which Dima Karim took advantage. Therefore, there was nothing to point out…Until the 46th minute, when Sariya al Siyakh allowed her team to reach an equal score on a graduated lob. Finally freed, the Sadaka girls were just about to take the advantage in the game for the first time on the 50th minute, when Sarah Bakri saved the day with an exceptional goal in the green girls’ net, after a center from the Algerian player Nayma Abou Hani. The green team faded and the players’ performance became worse and worse after the second goal of Sadaka.
The President of the Lebanese football Federation, Hashem Haydar, decalred after the game that the “competition was a real success in all its aspects…We can legally expect a huge progress [of the women’s football] in the coming years”. The head of the women’s football committee in the Lebanese football Federation, Hampshir Missakian, estimated that « we had the right for an exceptional championship, which can’t be but positive for the rest of the events; in fact we were expecting that the discipline reaches a remarkable level during the next seasons”.
The podium:
1) Sadaka 25 points
2) Ansar 22 points
3) Homenmen 12 points
