The Mabbarah team won the Lebanese football Cup for the first time after its victory over the Safaa team Thursday in the Cité Sportive in Beirut with a very close score of 2 to 1. The Mabbarah won its first national cup obstructing the success of the opponent team for the third time in this competition after its coronation in 1964 and 1986.

Despite the weak domination of the Safaa team in the first period, the Mabbarah was taking the leads of the game by starting the scoring via Tarek Alali (3rd minute) after taking a center from Faysal Antar. Tarek Alali was just about to do it again at the 63rd minute, but Ali Al-Saadi reduced the score difference for Safaa at the 80th minute.
