Alemayehu Shumye Tafereon An euthopian runner is winner of the 21-kilometer "Vivicitta Run for Peace" race which was organized by the Beirut Marathon Association, last Sunday.

The race that included some 7,500 people offered two lengths a 21-km and 5-km run in Beirut which was revived by the Arab-brokered deal in Qatar.

The organizers of this race were concentrated on bringing children from across Lebanon to the event.
May Khalil the director of Beirut Marathon explained that the childrenwho tookpart in the event were also asked to draw pictures and to write and elaborate about their ideas of peace.
