The 4th edition of the “Medgulf 10K” race took place on the 4th of February. It was indeed organized at Aïn el-Mreisseh on the front of Beirut’s sea by the Inter-Lebanon Road Runners Association (RRA), the Lebanese Athletics Federation and the social association of Aïn el-Mreisseh’s youth. Concerning men, it was Hussein Awada that won the race at 32m 08s, and for women, Maria Pia Nehmé won the first place at 39m 36s.

This race, that was the second one of its kind this year, assembled more than 200 runners, women and men. The participants, members of the Lebanese Athletic Federation clubs, came from different Lebanese regions, especially Baalbeck, Tyr, Tripoli, keserouan and Aley. The elite runners of the army were there too. However, the soldiers of the Finul were absent for security reasons. At the end of the race, more than twenty podiums were raised in order to represent male and female categories.
