What guys have to say about their night schedule experience…

reportage
Pierre, a young waiter in a restaurant and also a college student, stated the following: "If I wake up the next day, I attend my classes half asleep and always tired in addition to that I never made it to my first period…" Garo, a local Deejay in a pub and attending his morning job as a department manager, believes that "if you wish to make money you have to sacrifice one thing for another, you need to forget about sleep and relaxing".

What these young students see during those nights might also affect their psyche. Garo, like many other students, explained :  "I frequently notice 'cheaters' in the Lebanese nightlife". He added: "I frequently detect people appearing with their usual companions but every now and then they arrive with a different character."  Yves, a bartender at night and a college student in the morning, declares : "People change when they drink, they either become aggressive or fragile. I have witnessed many people crying late in the evening and hugging us or bursting their inner conflicts at the bar… Others especially women in their forties or so come to seek male companions and to mingle along".

Nevertheless Garo and Yves both agreed on one fact that they would both like to open their own pub or club someday and that's the only reason why they are sticking in this field of work. Pierre disagreed totally with them due to his personal concern : "No way will I still be working nightshifts in the future especially if I intend to start a family. There would be no chance for me to spend any occasion with them, the nightshift jobs ruin family institutions and will only make wives seek other men…"

Elie, Manager of a restaurant, approved Pierre's statements and added: "You only become a robot when you work at night; this job drains all your physical energy and crushes your spirit. You no longer have control over your family nor any respect. It certainly leads to a nervous breakdown, nonetheless you are working against laws of nature which require you to sleep at night and work in the morning…"
