Nassim center, a rehabilitation center for victims of torture, has opened in Beirut

Nassim Center, a center for the rehabilitation of the victims of torture, has opened its doors in Daoura, Beirut. This center is a joint SOLIDA/CLDH project, it was opened with the support of the Netherlands embassy in Beirut.

Nassim welcomes all victims of torture regardless of their nationality, their religious or political background. It offers a multi-disciplinary approach in order to heal the ment al and physical wounds of the victims and support their reintegration in society.

Any of the persons described above who have suffered torture at the hands of State institutions or de facto authorities. The Center does not deal with domestic violence. Beneficiaries can come directly or can be referred by Human Rights organizations and other agencies.

An official opening will be organized towards the end of October. Meanwhile, you are welcome to contact Nassim any time to find out more or in view of referring beneficiaries.

The Center is located in Daoura, Beirut, Mar Youssef Street, Bakhos Building, 4th floor

(next to Mar Youssef Hospital).
