With the cooperation of the Arab Kuwaiti Fund for Economic Development and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Rashaya Organization for art and culture organized a ceremony to pay homage to the winners of the drawing competition “construction” that took place on June 12, 2008 at 5 pm at Unesco palace.
President Michel Sleiman was represented by the Minister of Education Khaled Kabbani, and the Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri was represented by Dr Riad Ghannam, Director General of Lebanese parliamentary sessions, while Prime Minister Fouad Siniora was represented by Nada Al Sardouk, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism. Many political and society figures were present as well.
During the ceremony, the director of the Rashaya Organization thanked all those who supported the competition in which 1 233 schools competed, while Kabbani focused on the role of the Arab countries in supporting Lebanon, emphasizing the generous contributions of Kuwait in the competition. Finally, the Representative of the Arab Kuwaiti Fund for Economic Development, Mona Al Ayyaf, found that the drawings reflected the unity of Lebanon and represented its strong relations with Kuwait.
The celebration was followed by a photo exhibition.
