BEIRUT- After meeting with Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon Ahmad el-Bidawi for an hour and half, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea stated that the situation in the region is “not well” and under the unfortunate crisis that Ghaza is going through it is sad that some regional groups is trying to take advantage of this misery.
In what concerns the contrast that March 8 ministers are facing inside the government, as if they aren’t part of the cabinet, Geagea judged that they exist only to when the gains are shared, but they are always absent when it comes to shouldering their responsibilities,” adding that “the ministries, which are most corrupt, are those assumed by March 8 parties.”
On the Russian military assistance to the Lebanese Army, Geagea said, “Lebanon is a state which takes pleasure in sovereignty and is an independent entity. Had it been otherwise, Russia would not have given us such high-quality, new arms.”
When Geagea was asked about Dr Elie Karameh’s visit to Free Patriotic Movement leader General Michel Aoun, he said, “it’s a natural thing and I hope that everyone visits each other”.
