DOHA - During his official visit to Doha, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman urged the Lebanese emigrants last evening to “display the real face of Lebanon”, knowing that this face has been “disfigured by politics”.

Last May, Lebanon witnessed waves of violence that risked its fall into a civil war, after almost two years of political crisis that lead the country into an impasse. Clashes also erupted recently in the North between members of Sunni and Shiite communities.

Michel Suleiman spoke during an Iftar diner organized by the Lebanese community of Doha.
