BEIRUT- During a religious celebration in the South on Friday, Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Khreiss slammed Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa’s statement that Lebanon should participate in next month’s Arab League Summit in Libya.
Khreiss, who is also a member of the Amal Movement, reiterated the accusation of his party leader, Speaker Nabih Berri, that Libya was behind the 1978 disappearance of Shia leader in Lebanon Imam Moussa Sadr. He added the Lebanese government should boycott the summit.
According to Khreiss, Sadr sought to unite Arabs and was also committed to the Palestinian cause.
