BEIRUT - Head of bloc of Change and Reform, MP Michel Aoun, received today at his Rabieh residence MP Ali Hassan Khalil, from Liberation & Development bloc. Talks featured high on local political developments.

Khalil said Amal Movement and Free Patriotic Movement agree on major national headlines, like the necessity of developing the local political regime and respecting constitution which stipulates that a national committee must be set up for abolishing political sectarianism.

However, the latter issue demands a wide consensus on the local level, said Khalil.

Concerning the Israeli threats, Khalil declared that “Israel is incapable of launching a new attack on Lebanon; however our government, army and Resistance should all be ready to face Israeli threats”.

Asked whether Amal will be attending Martyr Hariri's commemoration event on 14th February, Khalil said that Amal will, as usual, commemorate the deceased in Tyre.
