Zahra : Abolition of political sectarianism means Christian departure
iloubnan.info - November 25, 2009

BEIRUT – Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra insured on Wednesday that the abolition of political sectarianism, while there were still sectarian parties and Lebanese and non Lebanese militias were not dissolved yet, would mean urging the Christians who stayed in Lebanon to leave definitely. He doubted that said sectarianism abolition would truly lead to establishing equilibrium and equity.

Zahra asserted that Hezbollah weapons issue was still controversial today. “When we voiced our reserves thereto within the Council of Ministers, we were not kidding but we sought showing we strongly oppose it”, he stressed.

“The State authority cannot cohabitate with another authority whether that of Hezbollah, Amal Movement, the Lebanese Forces or whatsoever armed religious organization”, he concluded.
