Sleiman: Border demarcation will be hot topic in upcoming period

BEIRUT- A source in the Sunday edition of Ad-Diyar newspaper was quoted as saying that President Michel Sleiman informed Secretary General of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Nasri Khoury that he discussed the issue of the Lebanese-Syrian border demarcation during his summit last week with Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad, adding that the issue will become a hot topic in the upcoming period. 

Several meetings will be held to put forward a plan for border demarcation the daily added, saying that Sleiman also discussed Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s potential visit to Syria, quoting sources as saying that Hariri’s visit to Syria is linked to the cabinet approving the ministerial statement and receiving a vote of confidence.
