Bassil : Aoun rejected Hariri’s offer
iloubnan.info - November 05, 2009
BEIRUT- Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Thursday that Telecommunications Minister Gebran Bassil called Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday night to officially inform him about Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun’s decision that he will not accept Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri’s cabinet proposal – which reportedly includes the portfolios of Tourism, Displaced, Culture, along with the Telecom on condition that it is not again headed by Bassil.

Bassil said that the stall in the cabinet formation is linked to “the intentions of some political parties to control others,” a possible reference to the March 14 alliance.
