Diyar: Bkirki accuses Aoun of sending false messages to Vatican
iloubnan.info - November 05, 2009

BEIRUT – Maronite Patriarchate sources accused the Free Patriotic Movement of sending false messages to Vatican, via its website, in which it said Lebanese Maronites were bothered by the Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir.

“If the general Michel Aoun accuses the Patriarch of protecting the corrupted persons, why doesn’t he say who are those corrupted persons?” ad-Diyar daily quoted those sources as questioning on Thursday. Same sources pointed out that the FPM was surprised that the Vatican didn’t reply to its messages.

“The Patriarch went to the Vatican and came back to Lebanon with good news, a thing that bother Aoun’s supporters”, the sources concluded.
