Kouchner: France is ready to assist Lebanon in any way
iloubnan.info - October 23, 2009
BEIRUT – French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner met with President Michel Sleiman on Friday after his talks with FM Fawzi Salloukh.
Following their meeting in Baabda Palace, kouchner expressed his hope that “matters would move forward in Lebanon based on the 15-10-5 formula.”

“I was informed by President Sleiman that the cabinet would be formed within days. It is crucial for the government to be formed because the regional situation is not good,” Kouchner said.  He also emphasized on the need for Lebanon “to form a government in which all sects are represented,” adding that, “We are ready to assist in any way.”

On the other hand he also said that, “The meeting between Saudi King Abdullah and Syrian President Bashar Assad was important but we can’t expect immediate results.”
