Ogassapian rules out any tension on the borders with Israel
iloubnan.info - January 12, 2009, 12h05

BEIRUT – Speaking to Voice of Lebanon radio station, Minister Jean Ogassapian ruled out on Monday any potential tension on the borders with Israel. He pointed out that Defense minister Elias Murr confirmed, during the last Cabinet session, that some security agents and suspects fired rockets against Israel. He said that the Lebanese position aims to dismantle any link between Lebanon and Gaza and implement the UNSC 1701.

The minister recalled the unanimous position stating that South Lebanon will not be a basis to fire rockets and the Palestinian united stance to not allow any party to involve Lebanon in none calculated confrontations.
