BEIRUT- Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora issued a statement on Monday where he slammed the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza strip, and flouting all international law and norms in committing crimes against the Palestinians.

Siniora restated Lebanon’s commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative, which he said could provide the grounds for the establishment of a Palestinian state and the restoration of “the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.”

Siniora emphasized on the need to focus on Arab solidarity since, “Experience has taught us in Lebanon that the first lesson for victory in the face of Israeli aggression is internal unity and overlooking differences.” Siniora also called on the international community to hold responsibility for what is happening in Gaza strip.
