BEIRUT - Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra told Future News Television on Saturday that the reality of the situation in South Lebanon shows that Hezbollah has a large scale of freedom of movement and activities there despite the UNIFIL and Lebanese Army presence there. He said “Hezbollah says in public and with no hesitation having a duty regarding Gaza in order to save it, so, it surely doesn’t hesitate to consecrate its strategic alliance that goes beyond the Lebanese interests and borders”.
Zahra added that “this confirms our concerns as Lebanese that he (Hezbollah) would go forward and push Lebanon in axes that it is incapable to assume their consequences” and turn the country into a battlefield instead of establishing stability. Zahra concluded “that’s what we are trying to avoid through our plans we are presenting during the national dialogue sessions in order to succeed a defense strategy that ensures the dignity and rights of the Lebanese and helps establish stability in the country”.
