BEIRUT- Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt doesn't feel comfortable with the ongoing Western openness to Damascus and is warning against it at the expense of Lebanon.
Speaking to Lebanese daily As-Safir on Thursday, Jumblatt said that he raised the voice against western openness toward Damascus at the expense of the ambitions of the Lebanese people.
“I spoke out to warn against western openness toward Damascus at the expense of the ambitions of the Lebanese people,” he said. He supported President Michel Sleiman and the cabinet’s efforts to implement consensus issues in the national roundtable dialogue.
