Hezbollah responds to Gemayel’s speech and says fanatics’ future is not better than their present

BEIRUT- Hezbollah’s education office issued a statement on Sunday considering Kataeb Party to be agitating university students during the recent clashes to reject the party in Christian areas of Lebanon. "We returned to the old logic of divisions between Oriental and Occidental Beirut, and also to the policy of exposure to political and religious icons." Read the statement.

According to Hezbollah statement it was unacceptable that the Phalange party's awakening of civil war rhetoric as well as division vocabulary, rejecting the compatriot partner in their latest speech held in the second memorial of Minister Pierre Gemayel’s assassination.

The statement accused the Phalange Party of "fabricating lies" through seeking to beg an electoral vote or to touch some objective people. The statement read in such style a proof of their "deadlock," and therefore, called them to put a limit to their spite and malevolence. "What Hezbollah has built with Lebanon throughout the regions is stronger than all schemes," the statement pointed out.

The statement also accused Gemayel of inciting people and agitating university students to reject the Resistance party in Christian areas of Lebanon.
"We tell all fanatics: Your future would not be better than you present," the statement concluded.
