BEIRUT – Wage increase, pension plans, social security, judicial appointments and many other items are on the agenda of Wednesday’s parliamentary session.

Deputy PM Issam Abu Jamra raised the issue of the deputy PM’s privileges and internal regulation of the cabinet’s work. This caused a short verbal argument between him and Prime Minister Fuad Saniora who said that this issue was not to be discussed in the parliament.

Another argument then emerged between Future MP Michel Pharaon and Development and Liberation bloc MP Ayoub Hmayed concerning the laws that were sent by the former cabinet to the parliament which did not hold a session.
