BEIRUT - During a ceremony on Tuesday Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Khreiss said that the Amal Movement considered the 2009 parliamentary elections to be an important opportunity to improve the political system.

At the ceremony Khreiss asked the politicians to be more open in their speeches instead of calling for more interior tensions for political purposes. Khreiss also said that the election campaigns should only be run through political programs and plans and not political agenda of partnership.
He repeated his call for the cabinet to make efforts to solve economic and social difficulties especially in Southern Lebanon.
