Speaker Nabih Berri Met today with college students on Friday in the parliament announcing that he will hold a legislative session on Wednesday. Adding that, the elections of 2009 would not significant gap between March 8 or March 14 forces adding that “Winning is not going to be by a big margin”.
Berri said that while the caza based electoral law of 1960 was not ideal, both the majority and the opposition benefited from it. He added that there was no enmity among the people of Lebanon, only some disagreements. Asked why the national dialogue was not taking place in parliament, Berri said that, in fact, it began in parliament and would continue at Baabda under the auspices of President Michel Sleiman.
