BEIRUT- Lebanese Hezbollah criticized roughly inter-faith summit for peace which was held last week at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Naim Qassem said in a statement broadcast on Manar TV, “we are with and inter faith dialogue when it is a dialogue for meeting an understanding… but we are with a dialogue sneaking to legalize Israel”.
Qassem added, “Imagine Shemon Perez - Israel's President – is the one conversing in the name of the Jewish religion while he is a murder and a butcher and occupying Palestine”.
Qassem criticized the attendees for not answering to Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni who, “assessed all Arab Islamic countries for teaching the hatred towards Israel” adding, “what was their response? Who said any word to condemn this hypocrisy?”
Noted that the Lebanese president Michel Sleiman was among the leaders of the countries that attended this summit that ended on Thursday, with a decree stressing to turn to dialogue as a choice for forgiveness and respect among different cultures and religions.
