BEIRUT - Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Hashemi Rafsanjani says he is relieved about stability and security in Lebanon.

He stressed on the role of Lebanese leaders who must preserve unity and cooperation between different groups. According to him, reconciliation between different leaders and religious communities will allow a true political stability.

Rafsanjani met with Lebanese ambassador to Iran, Zain Moussawi. After their meeting, he also declared that Iran will continue to support Lebanese people in their struggle for sovereignty and political independence.
