Lahoud and Ahmadinejad meet in Teheran

BEIRUT - Former President Emile Lahoud, currently on a visit to Teheran met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They discussed the situation in Lebanon as well as major regional and international developments.
Ahmadinejad praised “Lebanon's historic confrontation of the Zionist enemy", he believes that the ongoing current situation on a global level provides independent states of the region, including Iran and Lebanon, an opportunity for a new chance. He also told Lahoud that Lebanon and its people have the power to confront conspiracies devised by the entity who took over Jerusalem.

On his part, the former Lebanese President briefed Ahmadinejad on the latest developments in Beirut, he assured him that The political will of senior Lebanese officials would develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
