BEIRUT - MP Mohammed Kabbara, member of the Tripoli Gathering said in a statement that there would be no elections in 2009 if a "Lebanese party stays armed."
"Keeping the weapons is a real red line declared by the Lebanese people who are keen on freedoms in our country," he added.
He explained that the beginning of rebuilding the concept of a state is "banning the spread of weapons."
Kabbara warned Thursday that there will be no elections in 2009 if a "Lebanese party remains armed."
