Hezbollah on Saturday held a meeting to commemorate the death of several of its most inflential figures, assassinated during the past years, namely Ragheb Harb (assassinated on February 16, 1984), Abbas al-Moussawi (February 16, 1992) and Imad Mughniyeh ( February 12, 2008).
The meeting, which was held in Roueiss (South Beirut), gathered thousands of Hezbollah's supporters. They also came to listen to a speech of Hassan Nasrallah: speaking from an undisclosed location, Hezbollah's leader addressed the crowd on a giant screeen and tackled the recent events in Lebanon, and especially the words of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri during the commemoration of his father's assassination. Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri was killed by a car bomb in Beirut on February 14, 2005.

In his speech, Hassan Nasrallah said that Saad Hariri’s latest speech was "an insult to Rafiq Hariri.”

On Thursday, Saad Hariri had said that Hezbollah's weapons were the “mother of all problems” in Lebanon and that the party was politically bribing the current Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati. Hassan Nasrallah accused Saad Hariri to have bribed its enemies for them to re-elect him in 2011.

In January 2011, Hariri's government was toppled when eleven 8 March's ministers resigned.

According to Hassan Nasrallah's speech, after cabinet collapsed, Saad Hariri's Future Movement agreed to a Turkish-Qatari initiative for his enemies to accept to re-elect him as Prime Minister. “Who bribed whom at the time?” asked Hezbollah's leader, also tackling Hariri's absence from Lebanon. The former Prime Minister left the country in April 2011, because of security threats.

In a tweet released on Saturday, Saad Hariri responded to Hassan Nasrallah's stance by saying that the protector of Rafic Hariri’s killers has no right to talk about him, in reference to Hassan Nasrallah's refusal to deliver four Hezbollah's members to the international justice: the four men are accused of Hariri's killing by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. The STL issued a arrest warrant against them, with no result.
