Zuhair Murad knows a lot about painting. During his teenage years, he used to mainly paint portrait. He was fond of creating colors that would reproduce the reality of his inspiring models. His inclination for fashion showed later… and unexpectedly. Murad was 16 years old when he heard an ad which stated that the TV program, Studio al Fan, was looking for young fashion lovers to participate in a special show where they can reveal their talent. “ It is very weird,” said the designer, “I was very interested in painting but I had no passion for fashion. But when I heard the Studio Al Fan ad, I felt suddenly like I was ‘destined’ for that. I had to register! I felt that the message was for me.” And the result? At the end of the program, Zuhair Murad left with a trophy and the conviction that he was truly meant to work in the fashion field.
