Robert Abi Nader unveiled in January a glamorous and luxurious collection, inspired by Hollywood and its mythical actresses of the forties and fifties like: Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Ginger Rogers or Vivien Leigh.
The sexy and gracious models of this collection present unique and exclusive fabrics made and coloured in the workshops of Robert Abi Nader. Superimposing tulle and overprinted flowery silk cuts, combination of lace-covered taffetas: the effect is really dazzling. The sheath dresses slit up to the waist remind you of the movie theater masterpieces like « Gilda » or « the barefoot Countess». As for the tiers of pleated tulle, they remind us of Scarlett O’Hara in « Gone with the wind».
The spring- summer collection 2007 collection of Robert Abi Nader also includes cocktail dresses, and sheath dresses with asymmetrical low cut necklines. The pastel, ivory, and mauve combine with the black and white and the golden and bronze gauze. Embroideries disappear sometimes to unveil tiers, one of the leitmotivs of this collection.
