On Tuesday the 1st of the July, in the late afternoon, in Paris, right after the Autumn-Winter Haute Couture 2008 show of Basil Soda entitled "Fantasy Goddess", we affirmed him in the backstage that he is making an international name as a Lebanese designer, in a world where we swear only by Elie Saab; Basil Soda smiles stating, "Elie Saab is the mirror of Lebanon when it comes to Haute Couture... This is rather a good image for us... A little like Fairuz in the music!" That doesn't prevent that Basil Soda united a number of rising supporters. During the Parisian fashion week, he presented a stream marked with glamour of fantasy.

Black, coffee, night blue, deep violet, the long robes of the collection illuminate also in shimmering yellow and provocative red or luminous gold. The short gowns-skirts or pants go in fake transparencies. Zibeline, muslin, and lace caress the tall bodies of a dreamlike lady of an inspired artist.
