Zuhair Mrad presented on July 4, at the luxurious Scribe Hotel, next to the Opera Garnier in Paris, his new collection, in the fringes of the official Haute Couture fashion shows for autumn-winter 2007-2008 (held from July 2 to 5, 2007).

Venus, Aphrodite, Minerva, Athena, Phaedra, Andromaque … for this collection, Greece and ancient Rome were the inspiration of Zuhair Mrad. His creations mostly take the colors of the sky, with silvery, iridescent, lustrous, rosewood, cedar green, cloud grey with reflections from the moon, sun, dawn, and twilight… They are no more women but rather goddesses who wrapped with chiffon and lace, tulle and organza, embroideries ornamented with crystals, have ran the catwalk for the eyes of the bewildered guests.

If the next winter’s collection praises the evening dress, it also shows shorter lengths with ball dresses in taffetas, or short draped dresses in lace or organza. But whether short or long, Zuhair Mrad’s style is more enchanting each season.
