We can read in the daily LA Times that The Venice Film Festival turned out to be a double-header for Elie Saab, who dressed both Joely Richardson and Diane Kruger for their respective premieres -- "Atonement" and "The Hunting Party" -- in shimmery silver-gray chiffon gowns, on September 3.

Joely Richardson, in a long bottle-green silk muslin dress in sequins gradation and off the shoulder top in draped taffeta from ELIE SAAB Spring Summer Couture 07, was accompanied by her mother, actress Vanessa Redgrave and her daughter.

Diane Kruger, accompanied by her co-star Richard Gere and Terence Howard wears a pearl grey silk crepe georgette long gown, draped on the bust and embroidered in silver from the Autumn Winter 2007/2008 Couture Collection.
