The black Mercedes parks near the red carpet, at the entrance. After it, comes the jaguar and then, the BMW, waiting for their turn to be taken by the Valet Parking, while Security Agents are meticulously filtering the clients at the entrance. “It’s all about the show-off at the Sky Bar; you should have widened relationships to be able to enter it”, said Zeina, a twenty eight year-old girl, in an ironic way. This communication manager readily admits being kicked out from this nightclub many times last year. It was “another period”, when her address book wasn’t abundant enough.
Many people like Zeina try to enter THE most wanted Club in Beirut every night. We have to admit that the location of the club plays a major role… Sky Bar is located on one of the Biel building roofs, a center of exposition moving toward the sea. The 1000m²flat roof of this bar offers an incredible view to the Mediterranean on one side and to the Lebanese capital on the other. The architecture is really appealing. In the center of this open space, the huge rainbow designed bar, contrasts with the empty and immensely dark surrounding area, where only the wobbling lights of Beirut are discernible. The Lebanese are crazy about the concept “under the lovely moonlight”. Sarah comes nearly every night to Sky Bar to escape from the oppressive evenings in Beirut. “I can feel the air of the sea; I don’t even have the impression of being in the town. Here, I can breathe!”. The ventilators placed in the four corners of the terrace bring the sensation of freshness to many people. The place is really elegant with its white canapé, wooden tables, and anthracite walls encrusted with small bulbs and alcohol bottles carefully lined along the lighted bar.
