Safadi launches center for apiculture in North Lebanon

BEIRUT - A celebration was held in Aakar today for the launching of an apiculture (beekeeping) project under the patronage of the Safadi Corporation and with the collaboration of AIDA Group and Spanish Funding from AECID, the official Spanish Agency for international development cooperation and for humanitarian assistance. Minister Mohammad Safadi explained that the purpose of the project was to re-vitalize beekeeping in North Lebanon as a means to fight poverty. 

Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Juan Carlos Gafo, who was present at the event, expressed great joy in this inter-cultural cooperation between Lebanon and Spain. He stated that over 400 thousand US Dollars were donated to the apiculture project.
