Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun stated following his weekly meeting with the bloc that,”the role of the resistance starts when the army gets defeated,” adding that, “this role does not replace or sidestep the role of the Lebanese army.”

Aoun denied saying that “Patriarch Sfeir protects the corrupt officials,” adding that, “the indirect result of his defense of the system that incorporates corruption would lead to protecting the corrupt officials.”

“The reservations on the ministerial statement are media bids,” he added. “Those who remain in a government which they don't approve its statement should resign immediately,” said Aoun and adding up that, “Those taking part in a government are obliged to implement its statement.”
