BEIRUT - Minister of Agriculture Elias Skaff issued a decree banning “import of milk and milk products from the People's Republic of China as of the date of the decree and until further notice." 

As the Chinese government struggles to restore public trust in Chinese – made products, authorities have detained six more people in China's contaminated milk scandal. 

Milk powder containing melamine has been blamed for the death of four babies in China.
