MP Ali Ammar: “Hezbollah handed the gunman because they want to assist the investigation”
iloubnan.info - September 03, 2008, 16h40

BEIRUT - MP Ali Ammar from the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc stated to Ad-Diyar newspaper on Wednesday that the joint commission between the army and Hezbollah would change nothing. “Cooperation with each other will remain to face the Israeli threat,” he said. Ammar also insisted on the importance of keeping the Resistance's security and protecting the nation “as long as the coordination is done in secret”.

Concerning the shooting at the army military helicopter last week, Ali Ammar denied all rumors regarding Speaker Nabih Berri asking Hezbollah to deliver the gunman in charge for the incident. Hezbollah had handed the gunman because they wanted “to assist the investigation and help solve the incident in any way they could”, he said. Ammar said that no problems between Hezbollah and the army had ever occurred before.
