BEIRUT - While commenting on the incidents that happened in Akkar yesterday, MP Mustafa Allouch, a member of the Future Movement, told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Monday that the situation in Akkar needed to be handled immediately. According to him, any attack on the Alawi community in Akkar could lead to direct Syrian intervention.

He also said that the situation in Tripoli was under control thanks to the army. But he added that the city was still vulnerable.
