iloubnan.info - August 21, 2008

BEIRUT: Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reports that Charge d''Affairs at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Beirut Mohammed Faisal AlـMutairi affirmed Wednesday that the return of political stability in Lebanon has attracted numerous Kuwaitis back to the country.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), AlـMutairi revealed that more than 40,000 Kuwaitis have chosen Lebanon as their tourist destination this year after the election of a new president and the formation of the government, adding that Kuwaiti investors have also begun to increase their activities in the country.

The Lebanese economy is going to witness an increase by five percent in the remaining period of 2008, affirmed AlـMutairi. "Kuwait is very keen on the welfare of Lebanon and would always support the fellow Arab country by any means," he added, pointing out that the scene in the country would witness more stability with the preparations for the upcoming legislative elections to be held in May 2009.
