BEIRUT - In an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily, Minister of State Wael Abu Faour, exhorted Lebanese politicians to protect and maintain the dignity of the army: he asked them to minimize comments that might weaken the military establishment to the media.

Abu Faour, who also represents the Progressive Socialist Party in parliament, said he did not expect today’s cabinet meeting to conclude the appointments of security and military officials: “political communication has not yet matured into a solution or agreement”, he said.
