BEIRUT - In a press release issued yesterday, the leaders of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon called for openness in the coming national dialogue : “The national dialogue must include all the points of dispute for the sake of reconciliation and partnership in the future,” the statement read. 

The press release also read that national defense strategy was among the most important issues to be discussed in the dialogue. 

the statement praised President Sleiman’s recent visit to Damascus, calling on all political parties to welcome the “correction of relations between Lebanon and Syria.” 

The press release also expressed disdain concerning criticisms of the Hezbollah-Salafist Memorandum of Understanding.
