Rabih Mogharbel to hire Lebanese
October 07, 2008, 16h12, By Pascale Youssef

Rabih Mogharbel, the man behind hirelebanese.com and in partnership with Lebanon Expats team in Beirut will be holding the "Hire lebanese Job Fair" on the 9th and 10th of October at Monroe Hotel in Beirut.
In his constant attempt to promote hiring Lebanese for his belief in their skills and smart competence, Rabih along with Lebanon expats team in Beirut have invited more than 40 companies for them to find their matching candidates during the job fair.

On the other hand in an interview with iloubnan.info we asked Rabih Mogharbel about his thriving hirelebanon.com website and this what he had to say:

iloubnan.info: When was your web site created?
Rabih Mogharbel: Well hireLebanese.com was created sometime during Oct 2005.

Could you tell us more about the concept?
The concept is simple: We (Lebanese) have built a reputation for brains and productivity so hireLebanese.com aims to capitalize on our reputation and centralize our efforts to succeed." Our goal is to market the Lebanese workforce as one." We work with Lebanese professionals abroad to help them find jobs in Lebanon. We also work with Lebanese managers abroad to help Lebanese in Lebanon and throughout the Middle East find better opportunities.

If we combine our efforts we will do better. Working hand in hand with Lebanese managers, hireLebanese.com is able to secure more jobs for Lebanese than letting each person look for themselves.

How does it work exactly? How many companies visit the site? How many candidates have been subscribed?
We have around 3000 companies registered and using the site trusting that they will receive good qualified job seekers through our services. We have over 18000 job seekers and growing day by day. We get around 1.5 million hits a month between those who are looking for good vacancies and companies aiming to recruit a Lebanese staff.
a. Companies post jobs – candidates will apply directly
b. Companies access CV database and find candidates of interest and contact them directly.

Is the subscription free? If not how much is it?
Everything is free for job seekers; they don't have to pay anything to post their CVs online. On the other hand Job Posting is also free of charge; however we do charge employers a small fee for access to the CV database. We charge $49/month of $449/year.

Are there any specific requirements for the candidates to apply?
Of course candidates must be college graduates and higher to professionals with more than 15 years of experience. But they must be Lebanese that's the most important thing that we insist on.

The companies are most full Lebanese or foreigners? What is the profile of these companies?
More than 50% are Lebanese companies in Lebanon while others are multinationals in the Middle East. Companies' profile are Accounting firms, engineering, Advertising, banking, executive search firms, hospitals, manufacturing, construction companies, governments, hotels and much more…

What are the different sectors concerned?
We work with all professional sectors, no specified ones. When you check our website you would know that we have various sectors and fields of work.

What is the daily traffic of your website?
We have an average of 1.5 million hits per month.

Is there any future project for the site (new partners, new services, offer enhancement)?
Our new project is the hireLebanese Job Fair in Beirut this Oct 9 and 10 at Monroe Hotel. This is our first initiative to physically bring companies under the hireLebanese umbrella and help candidates find jobs. We plan to have a job fair every year.
