BEIRUT - Agriculture Ministry and Lebanon's Banks' Association signed on Wednesday a protocol of cooperation to grant investors and activists in the agricultural sector long term loans (in Lebanese liras) for medium and small-sized projects with a low rate of interest.
During a joint press conference at the Association headquarters in Saifi to declare the said protocol, Lebanon's Banks' Association Joseph Torbay said the agricultural sector represents a vital productive sector for social and population equilibrium and national food security.
