BEIRUT - According to Lebanon this Week published by Byblos Bank, the Ministry of Finance's value-added tax (VAT) department and the French General Directorate of Taxation have been teamed up to improve the skills and efficiency of the Lebanese employees at the VAT department.
The project aims to modernize the tax system in Lebanon and has been financed by the European Commission for an amount of nearly €191,000. The implementation of the project took 6 months and led to the training of about 142 public sector employees.
